Over a year ago, the old TruthFightsBack launched to fight for the truth against the smears of a political campaign. The response was tremendous, and the TruthFightsBack staff and volunteers generated tens of thousands of letters to the editors, countless emails to friends, launched an innovative Google ad campaign that got the notice of everyone from the corporate headquarters at Google to the John McCain campaign. It made a difference.

Now, a new TruthFightsBack is launched, this time focused on fighting for the truth against the well-funded campaign of distortion and lies from the forces trying to block us from reforming our energy economy to confront the danger of global climate change.

This is a site that will constantly be in progress because the fight for the truth will never finish. We need to always stay on top of the distortions to make sure that we can drown them out with the truth and make sure everyone knows how crucial it is that we meet this challenge. So we'll be constantly updating our list of distortions, developing new tools for you, and writing more content for you to get the context you need to know how to fight back.
