John McCain’s campaign is crossing a line. We need to beat back not just the McCain campaign, but this entire style of politics, or we will never get a government we deserve in this country.


John McCain approved an ad that was released yesterday that is, quite simply, the most despicable and depraved ad ever run by a Presidential campaign. It may be the most despicable ad ever run by any group about a Presidential candidate, including outside groups. It, quite literally, trashes a vote by Barack Obama to protect young kids from sex offenders and uses the most base fears about our children to smear Barack Obama.


We need to call out this style of campaign and say, “Enough!”
