Welcome to TruthFightsBack.com, your hub for fighting back against the lies about climate change and our clean energy future. This is a site that is always in progress, always looking for the latest distortions and finding new ways to make the truth heard. So, if you hear of a distortion that isn’t here, please go to REPORT A DISTORTION and let us know about it. We’ll get our researchers looking at it and make sure that you will have the truth you need to fight back.

Here on the site, we have many ways for you to fight back. If you find the truth that you are looking for here, on every page there are many ways you can fight back, from writing a Letter to the Editor of your local newspaper, to emailing it to your friends, to retweeting it on your Twitter account. Or, if you’d like to spread the word on any other point or general message, go to our ACTION CENTER and get to it!

There are many other resources around the web to find the truth about climate change. Most of the ones I’ll list here will also have links to other fantastic sites and resources, so please follow along the links and find everything you need:

DESMOGBLOG: A one-stop look at the well-funded campaign behind the deniers, with great explanations of where the money comes from, what the tactics of the deniers are, and the overall structure of the campaign to hide the reality of climate change. Kevin Grandia, the man behind Desmogblog, writes a regular column here exposing the same issues.

SKEPTICAL SCIENCE: This is a good, detailed look at the science behind climate change, turning a skeptical eye to the evidence and giving you the straight scoop on what’s really going on.  TruthFightsBack is glad to say that John Cook will be translating a lot of that for you here at TFB to keep you up on the issues. Some other good writers on the same issue: TAMINO and SIMON DONNER. There are others, so just follow the links at those blogs.

MEDIAMATTERS: This is a good compendium of the distortions currently in “high rotation,” so to speak, with links to specific instances when they are used in some of our major media outlets.

GRIST.ORG: Grist is a good online publication about environmental matters in general, and their “How to Talk to a Climate Change Skeptic” series is a masterpiece of research and writing, with fantastic information presented clearly and compellingly. Added bonus: it’s about 3 years old, but it’s still current! It shows how persistent these distortions can be.

REALCLIMATE: It’s tag-line is “climate science from climate scientists,” and that’s what you get there. Almost never too-technical, if you want to get the scoop “straight from the horses mouth,” that’s the place to go.

BLOGS FROM THE ENVIRO ORGANIZATIONS: Most of the top environmental organizations run good blogs that keep up to date on all the twists and turns, like the LEAGUE OF CONSERVATION VOTERS, the SIERRA CLUB, and the NRDC.

This is just a smattering of the many sources of information on the web about climate change. Most major newspapers now have blogs and specific writers covering the issue, and as we move further into the legislative fight, most of the political blogs and websites will be focusing on the issue. Not only do we need to read those, but we need to let them all know the truth! TruthFightsBack is here for you, to give you the tools to make sure everyone knows the truth.
